Dr Anne Munck
Dr Anne Munck is head of the Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis Centre at the Hospital Robert Debré, University Paris-Diderot in Paris, France, where she also works in the department of paediatric gastroenterology, pulmonology and nutrition.
She has national responsibility for CF newborn screening on behalf of the French Association for Newborn Screening Programmes (AFDPHE), as well as being actively involved in the European Cystic Fibrosis Diagnostic Network, Training for Clinical Trials and the Neonatal Screening Working Group. She is a member of several societies, including ESPGHAN and ECFS (board member 2007–2011).
She has initiated several collaborative studies in France and Europe on totally implantable vascular access devices, distal intestinal obstructive syndrome, phenotypic expression of atypical CF diagnosed based on NBS, and nutritional care in NBS infants.
Dr Munck has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals in the area of cystic fibrosis clinical research, and is currently involved in a number of clinical trials. Her CF centre has been selected as a ECFS-clinical trial network site.
Her specific research interests within this field are gastroenterology and nutrition, newborn screening and pulmonary infections.
