Dr Charles Haworth



Dr Charles Haworth is Director of the Cambridge Centre for Lung Infection (incorporating The Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre, The Lung Defence Clinic and The Immunology Clinic) at Papworth Hospital. He is also an Honorary Consultant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. He trained at the Manchester Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre, the Royal Brompton Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital, before moving to Cambridge in 2003.

He co-chaired the European CF Society working group on bone health which published guidelines in 2011, and is currently co-chair of the European CF Society/North American CF Foundation NTM guidelines group, and the BTS NTM guidelines group. He collaborates with several research groups at the University of Cambridge and is currently co-chief investigator of two multicentre clinical trials in non-CF bronchiectasis.
