Kate Rowland-Jones is a registered dietitian with extensive experience across all areas of clinical nutrition and has worked within a diverse range of acute and community settings around the world.
She joined the adult specialist cystic fibrosis team at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London in 2008 to dedicate her expertise to cystic fibrosis.
Kate has a strong ethos for hard work, dedication and delivering excellence to provide a pinnacle service to cystic fibrosis individuals. Her practice specialises in improving and optimising the nutritional status, and ultimately improving the survival of, those living with the disease.
Kate has been intimately involved with and focused on developing care guidelines and designing clinical trials to study the effects of treatment and improve the delivery of care. She has internationally participated in and presented clinical research to improve the quality of lives of those with cystic fibrosis. She recently developed and implemented care guidelines on high dose vitamin D supplementation which was internationally recognised and published.
Kate is an influential member of the UK Dietitians’ Cystic Fibrosis Interest Group. She regularly attends meetings to share and contribute information to improve her own depth of knowledge and that of others.
She has a keen interest in advancing and improving cystic fibrosis care specifically focusing on the nutritional aspects and hopes to use her talent to continue to find innovative ways to fight for the future for cystic fibrosis.
