Penny Agent is Deputy Director of Rehabilitation & Therapies and Professional Lead for Physiotherapy at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, where she combines a strategic operational role managing therapy services with a continued clinical interest in cystic fibrosis. Penny graduated from King’s College London in 1994 and has been the Lead Physiotherapist for CF in the trust for the last 14 years.
Her specialist interests in CF and research focus around complex disease, non-invasive ventilation, end of life care, airway clearance and inhalation therapy, and she has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally.
Penny was chair of the National Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Cystic Fibrosis (ACPCF) from 2009–2012 and co-edited and led the national Standards of Care and Good Clinical Practice for the Physiotherapy Management of People with Cystic Fibrosis which was published in 2011. She is the course facilitator for the Managing the Care of Children and Adults with Cystic Fibrosis course.
